Responsibilities:
  1. Creates, maintains, and updates all job descriptions for the company.
  2. Coordinates and oversees recruitment and hiring.
  3. Manages employee orientation, onboarding and offboarding.
  4. Helps identify training and development needs; develops and facilitates courses as required.
  5. Helps develop performance appraisal process.
  6. Addresses employee relations issues in a confidential and timely manner.
  7. Advises and coaches leadership team in discipline, coaching of employees and performance management.
  8. Supports the implementation of HR and organizational change initiatives.
  9. Partner with Health & Safety Manager to oversee and chair the safety committee.
Qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a human resources generalist capacity
  • Post-secondary certificate/diploma/degree in human resources
  • Experience in recruitment and training initiatives is an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active, team player who can take initiative and work independently
