The Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead, Recruitment Services, the Recruitment Coordinator supports Carewest in meeting its business goals by providing responsive and timely recruitment support to a designated portfolio of sites and managers. This role is key in collaborating with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and to develop comprehensive recruitment strategies. We are seeking a dynamic individual with proven customer service skills and expertise in talent acquisition functions. In this role, you will be expected to provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, selection, and onboarding, to ensure continuity of care for clients across Carewest. This role will also cultivate relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and community partners to enhance talent acquisition efforts. As an engaged member of the recruitment team, you will be expected to provide customer centric service by way of timely, consistent, and effective communication. Through your work, you will endeavor to build relationships that are grounded in trust, while looking at the needs, challenges, and successes of our internal clients. As a team, we are committed to approaching our work with a business enabling mindset that seeks opportunities for growth and information sharing. This position is eligible for a hybrid work model.

In keeping with Carewest Mission, Vison and Values, policies and Recruitment standards, these positions work to high professional and ethical standards at all times. The demonstration of leadership, communication, customer service and effective relationship building is critical for success.

Shift Times: 0800-1615

Rate of Pay: $ 32.66 - $ 43.72

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources/Recruitment experience, preferably in a healthcare environment; demonstrated project leadership; staying current on industry trends, employment laws, and best practices to inform recruitment and HR strategies; excellent written and oral communication, presentation skills; advanced computer skills; reliable vehicle and driver’s license required.
  • University Degree, Diploma or Certificate with a focus in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS software, such as LEVER, is considered an asset. Exposure to a unionized environment is an asset.
