Service Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to join our team at DMC Recruitment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating efficient and effective service delivery related to building materials and construction supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Request Coordination: Receive and process service requests related to building materials, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information. Coordinate with field service technicians and other relevant teams to schedule service appointments for building materials deliveries or installations.
  • Schedule Management: Maintain and update the service calendar, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for building materials services and timely completion of tasks. Communicate schedule changes to both internal teams and clients promptly.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the building materials industry regarding service inquiries and updates. Provide timely and clear communication to clients about service appointments, expected timelines, and any changes in schedule related to building materials.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service requests, appointments, and completed tasks related to building materials. Generate reports as needed to track service performance and identify areas for improvement within the building materials sector.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with field service technicians, sales teams, and other internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery for building materials. Address any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and work towards effective resolutions within the building materials industry.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor service delivery in the building materials sector to ensure it meets established quality standards. Gather feedback from clients and use it to drive continuous improvement in service processes related to building materials.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably in a service-oriented industry within the building materials sector.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in coordinating field service activities within the building materials industry.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific service processes related to building materials.
  • Customer service training or certification.
