Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk is a full-time entry-level position where a successful candidate would process payable requests on behalf of our clients. It is very detail-oriented and requires the candidate to constantly pay attention to minor details, such as banking numbers and beneficiary names. In addition, it requires the candidate to be attentive to internal and external communications as well as effectively communicate status updates.

  1. Enter bills and payables into the accounting system (Quickbooks Online);
  2. Enter banking information and process payables in A/P software (Plooto);
  3. Respond to vendor inquiries;
  4. Communicate with clients regarding cash flow;
  5. Review and process employee reimbursements in accordance with any applicable reimbursement policy;
  6. Review and verify vendor and supplier-related information on a periodic basis;
  7. Identify and report any fraudulent A/P requests;
  8. Set up A/P process for new clients;
  9. Frequently check emails;
  10. Periodically generate A/P Aging Summary and reconcile A/P accordingly;
  11. Organize files in Sharepoint accordingly and file any physical paperwork;
  12. Follow up on the status of Purchase Orders;
  13. Review the General Ledger and make any appropriate month-end adjustments;
  14. Assist in month-end closing;
  15. Respond to any audit A/P requests from external auditors;
  16. Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks;
  17. Assist with any other projects as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting (minimum 2 years of education);
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in an accounting position;
  3. Fundamental knowledge of ASPE & IFRS;
  4. Detail-oriented and organized;
  5. Able to manage time efficiently and schedule work accordingly;
  6. Able to meet deadlines;
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  8. Proficiency in MS Office;
  9. Possess a good sense of urgency.
Pay Range

$17.50 - $19.00 / Hour. Approximately 40 Hours a week.
