We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Construction/Contractor industry. The position is located in Markham, Ontario, Canada.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of a high volume of PO and Non-PO invoices.

• Handle the processing of employee expense reports in a timely manner to guarantee prompt payment.

• Perform reconciliations of disposal invoices on a regular basis.

• Handle month-end AP close operations in a timely manner.

• Address employee and vendor requests and questions via email and/or phone, providing excellent customer service.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies with all departments promptly and effectively.

• Liaise with other departments including controllers to clarify invoice questions.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
