Position Job Description

- Own the mechanical portion of projects, managing delivery to cost, quality and schedule requirements

- Design and draft prototypes and production systems, and manage manufacturing with external suppliers

- Supervise and participate in the assembly of mechanical, electrical, and optical systems, both in the lab and at client sites

- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and assembly personnel

- Prepare and execute acceptance test procedures for deliverable hardware

- Produce and maintain part and assembly drawings, bills of material and documentation

Position Minimum Requirements

- Degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant field

- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks

- Familiarity with mechanical assembly procedures and tools including 3D printers, basic metalworking tools, measuring instruments, etc.

- Familiarity with a broad range of electrical lab and test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, cameras, PC’s, power supplies, etc.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering/manufacturing environment

- Fluent English and French (written and spoken)

- Driving license and independent form of transport

- At least 4 years’ experience in a relevant field

- Status in Canada allowing to work

- Able to work at Agmanic Vision’s offices in Anjou two days per week

Position Preferred Requirements

- OIQ membership

- Knowledge or experience in electrical engineering

- Experience with optics in photography

- Experience of managing engineering laboratories and facilities

Location

Anjou, Montreal (Quebec), with remote work partly possible and client visits in various locations in Quebec.

Description du poste

- Prendre en charge la portion mécanique des projets, et en gérer la livraison tout en respectant les exigences de coût, de qualité et d’échéance

- Concevoir et rédiger des prototypes et des systèmes de production, et gérer leur fabrication avec des fournisseurs externes

- Superviser et participer à l'assemblage des systèmes mécaniques, électriques et optiques, tant en laboratoire que chez les clients

- Travailler en collaboration avec d'autres disciplines d'ingénierie et le personnel d'assemblage

- Préparer et exécuter des procédures de test d'acceptation pour le matériel livrable

- Produire et tenir à jour les dessins de pièces et d'assemblage, les nomenclatures et la documentation

Qualifications minimales du poste

- Diplôme en ingénierie mécanique ou dans un domaine pertinent

- Solides connaissances de SolidWorks

- Familiarité avec les procédures et outils d'assemblage mécanique, notamment les imprimantes 3D, les outils de base pour le travail des métaux et les instruments de mesure

- Familiarité avec une vaste gamme d'équipements et d'outils électriques de laboratoire et de test, notamment les oscilloscopes, les multimètres, les caméras, les PC, les alimentations, etc.

- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe

- Expérience de travail dans un environnement d'ingénierie/fabrication multidisciplinaire

- Parler et écrire couramment en anglais et en français

- Permis de conduire et moyen de transport indépendant

- Au moins 4 ans d'expérience dans un domaine pertinent

- Statut au Canada permettant de travailler

- Être disponible pour travailler dans les bureaux d’Agmanic Vision à Anjou deux jours par semaine

Autres qualifications favorables au poste

- Membre de l'OIQ

- Connaissances ou expérience en génie électrique

- Expérience avec l'optique en photographie

- Expérience de la gestion de laboratoires et d'installations d'ingénierie
