Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of two (2) permanent Managers specializing in Work Design and Compensation. Both roles will lead a team of specialists and advisors who support Human Resources, Labour Relations, Operational Leadership, and Corporate functions. One opportunity will support unionized employees while the other will support non-unionized staff. This is a remote first opportunity that will require occasional on-site presence at their various locations across BC.

Responsibilities:
Lead, oversee, and assess the structure and compensation framework, including:
Providing job design and classification services with managerial guidance, ensuring fair and efficient evaluation and compensation of all positions.
Managing disputes related to classification.
Implementing changes resulting from negotiations or arbitration decisions.
Collaborate with the Director to establish consistent policies and practices, fostering a positive work environment for labor-management relations.
Provide leadership and guidance in Work Design & Compensation to align with the business strategies of different management groups and care teams.
Supervise Work Design & Compensation personnel, including performance evaluations, coaching, and addressing disciplinary matters.
Contribute to the development of goals, policies, and service priorities.
Work with client groups to define outcomes and an evaluation plan for assessing the effectiveness of People strategies. Implement and monitor approved strategies.
Identify and communicate Work Design & Compensation requirements to the Director, including budget proposals, expenditure monitoring, variance analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.
Represent the organization in various committees or task groups as necessary.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in work design/compensation.
Several years of direct people-leadership and personnel management experience.
Preferred experience within a multi-union environment.
