Summary of Position

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Eastern Canada to manage Hamilton’s eastcoast distribution including Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada but not limited to these regions. The key to this position is the ability to represent and promote the brand by achieving sales targets, securing new business opportunities (if required) and maintaining excellent relationships with retailers. The RSM’s mission will be to deliver exceptional sales results and provide best-in-class luxury service to our business clients. The RSM will develop and manage strong relationships with top level accounts while establishing new and cultivating existing business accounts. The RSM will drive business to retail and deliver business growth on a consistent bases.

Sales

· Budget and sales responsibilities for all independent wholesale accounts and travel retail within territory but not limited to.

· Prepare product or brand presentations for prospective or existing accounts.

· Review and manage inventory levels through identification of appropriate product assortment, pricing and distribution channels for the market.

· Manage and maintain strong business relationships with existing accounts.

· Identify potential new business opportunities with leading retailer accounts.

· Partner with Brand Manager in acquiring approvals for inventory return authorizations and new account openings.

· Terminate doors that are not representing the brand to standards.

· In collaboration with the Hamilton team, develop, plan and execute national contests and prizes.

· Plan and execute events, promotions and point of sale activities in order to increase sell through levels.

· Train store staff on the brand, products and merchandising with a combination of demonstrations and presentations.

· Execute the roll-out of new display material and new campaigns.

· Merchandise product in stores according to brand guidelines.

Marketing

· Executing marketing initiatives to heighten the brand awareness to support retailers.

· Coordinate product knowledge training, marketing, and customer materials.

· Responsible for maintaining and developing the Hamilton brand image in all points of sale.

· Coordinate and present merchandising and product training materials to retail partners.

· Negotiate and prepare all co-op advertising agreements in compliance with approvals process from the Marketing Manager and Brand Manager, retailer and finance.

· Develop and continuously discuss digital marketing strategies with retail partners.

· Plan and coordinate events with retail partners and strategic groups to promote the Hamilton brand.


Reporting

· Monthly budgeting and forecasting reports.

· Weekly call report submitted to Brand Manager detailing retailer visits and action plans for current or potential issues.

· Weekly sell-thru reports.


Requirements

· Minimum of 3-5 years wholesale experience, ideally within the watch, sport, automotive, apparel, technology and/or accessories industry.

· Highly motivated, energetic individual with superior selling and merchandising skills.

· Sound knowledge and expertise in sales reporting, including monthly budgeting and forecasting.

· Strong project management experience with proven organization skills, time management skills, high level of detail orientation and ability to implement and execute multiple projects at once.

· Excellent organization, negotiation, presentation & interpersonal skills.

· Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.

· Results oriented with strong bias for action and a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

· Must be a self-starter who works well independently and in team environments.

· Must have a valid Driver’s License and regular access to personal vehicle.

· Must be able to travel within assigned territories, occasionally to various locations within Canada/US and abroad.

· Experience in travel retail and department stores is an asset.

· Intermediate skill level with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


Employment Status


Salaried, Full-Time, 40-44 hours per week on average. Must maintain open availability to meet the needs of the business and may be required to work more than 44 hours a week, certain holidays and blackout dates. Car and air travel may be required.

Working Conditions


Moderate physical effort is required. This position has a low risk of injury, the position requires lifting, pushing, pulling and holding (up to 35 lbs and above with appropriate support) of boxes and store fixtures, as well as significant focus when completing reports and materials for presentations.
