Intent of the Process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position on an indeterminate basis. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to Sudbury if not already located there.

Essential Qualifications

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or economics and experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; AND possession of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA).

Experience:

1. Significant experience (2 full fiscal years of a budget cycle) in resource management and budgeting, corporate finance, including corporate reporting, and accounting operations.
2. Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on complex financial and management issues.
3. Significant experience in managing human and financial resources.

Asset Experience
  • Knowledge of the government-wide financial budgetary cycle.
  • Knowledge of Federal Grants and Contribution Programs.
  • Experience liaising with Treasury Board Secretariat, Department of Finance, Privy Council Office.
  • Experience developing costing models.
  • Experience developing or playing a challenge function on Cabinet documents.
