Our goal is to ensure senior care organizations across our country have access to a strategy that keeps their frontline employees supported and their residents safe and cared for.
Holding a key position on the Senior Leadership Team and working closely with the CEO & President, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the financial planning, implementation and monitoring of Plan A Powered By StaffStat’s strategic plan. The CFO will manage all finance activities across all companies. Additionally, the CFO will play a key role in establishing the company’s foundation for growth by leading organization and departmental change, as well as enhancing systems and processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Financial Strategy and Planning:_
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to achieve long-term financial goals and objectives.
- Provide financial guidance to the CEO, President, and other senior executives.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue generation.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth.
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing or elimination.
- A key part of the team that develops and executes the company’s financial strategy to achieve long-term financial goals and objectives.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:_
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Monitor business performance through the establishment of key performance indicators and establish corrective measures as required.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:_
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Implement budgetary controls to manage expenses effectively.
- Work with senior team members across the organization to develop departmental budgets and reporting to improve accountability across the organization.
- Risk Management:_
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Establish risk management policies and procedures.
- Maintain insurance coverage to protect the organization's assets and liabilities.
- Cash Management:_
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligations.
- Optimize working capital to support business operations.
- Monitor and manage investments and banking relationships.
- Capital Management:_
- Evaluate and recommend capital allocation strategies, including investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Manage debt and equity financing activities.
- Assess and optimize the organization's capital structure.
- Financial Compliance and Governance:_
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Team Leadership and Development:_
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance accounting, or related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior financial role.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and be self-directed, adaptable, and innovative.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strategic thinking and problem solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Quickbooks.
