The Smart Plant Support Specialist supports 2D /3D CAD Tools interoperability with regards to the Hexagon Smart Plant and it’s major modules including Foundation, 3D, P & ID and SDX and AtkinsRéalis integrated document management systems.

Location: Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

System level activities required to support the following products: Smart Plant and it’s major modules including Foundation, 3D, P & ID and SDX. This includes items such as:

  • Participate in software certification, User Acceptance Testing and delivery processes, ensure issues are communicated to developers and software vendors as needed.
  • Provide user support for: Smart Plant and Plant 3D.
  • Maintain Smart Plant borders - security identifiers.
  • Resolve software installation issues.
  • Liaise with external vendors including IT developers to investigate unusual problems with software releases/ hardware issues, or to receive assistance with hardware and peripheral malfunctions.
  • Develop/Review Plant 3D Piping Specs Defined by Piping Paper Specs.
  • Customize SmartPlant 3D Catalog/Piping Specs; Support 3D Modeling; Customize 3D ISO Template/Style; Support 3D ISO Generation.
  • Liaise with end users to define and implement enhancements.
  • Monitor disk space and system resources and communicating issues to Engineering Tools.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
