As we continue to grow our national practice, we are seeking talented individuals who embrace creative, passionate, and forward-thinking approaches to join our dynamic team.What We Are SeekingZeidler Architecture is currently looking for an Intermediate/Senior Contract Administrator to work in our Calgary office. To be considered for this role, you will be an Architect/ Technologist with extensive dedicated experience in CA. As the Contract Administrator, you will be directly responsible for the comprehensive and timely administration of all project related documentation and information during the construction phase. You will represent the Architect in all construction project meetings and other field matters, relating to the construction of the project.Work collaboratively with our national studio teamsExhibit a good understanding and practice of relevant office administration procedures including the creation of project documentation: minutes of meetings, transmittal of project material, applications to authorities, etc. and filing systems as is required to assist in the organization of all related project information and correspondenceConduct construction field observations for site visits during constructionProduce and distribute supplemental drawings, specifications and interpretations in response to requests for clarification by contractors/ownersProvide final review for shop drawings and prepare change orders, RFls, site meeting minutes, application for payment and project closeout services, as requiredLiaise with clients and Contractors and communicate with senior team members when requiredProvide a brief weekly update to leadershipSupport the team with internal and external communications during construction processAs a member of our team, you are expected to actively adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures established by the company. This includes understanding and following all relevant guidelines, participating in mandatory training sessions, and consistently practicing safe work habits. You are responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is crucial to the well-being of all employees and the overall success of our operations.What you Will BringDegree in Architecture or Architectural Technologist Diploma from a recognized institution or CSC certification / training. On-job experience will be also considered (contractor or consultant or developer work)5-9 years related experience in the production of contract documents, contract administration or direct construction experienceCurious, energetic and driven to perform effectively in a demanding high growth, fast paced environmentLocal and Canadian experience in different building typologies such as office, commercial, multi-family, institutional, retail, healthcare and hospitality building types is considered an assetStrong understanding of both non-combustible and combustible building systems preferred.
