What you can expect to do here:

Operational Excellence
  • Responsible for the net revenue and sales within the Region, including organic growth, revenue generation, DSO, client satisfaction, employee engagement and turnover
  • Leading cross-sector Regional Management Teams
  • Responsible for government relations and industry presence in the Region (which associations to be part of, which conferences to attend/sponsor)
  • With support from the recruitment team, be responsible for WSP's strategy and visibility with Universities and Colleges in the Region
  • Develops regional incremental growth, forecast and business development strategies in collaboration with Sector Leaders. Critical focus will be helping to establish the existing baseline across each regional market specifically along all critical KPIs including but not limited to:
  • Current average revenue growth (split between major projects and traditional projects)
  • Reginal Backlog Growth
  • Under-penetrated markets or Sub-Regions
  • Opportunities for expansion or add-on work/backlog development opportunities from existing clients
  • New target clients and/or sub-markets
  • Risk and opportunity sectors/projects that could put increasing organic growth at risk
  • Risk and Opportunity factors to organic growth (staffing, federal, provincial, municipal government funding, etc)
  • Defines the real estate strategy to follow the business strategy
  • Lead Regional M&A, liaising with the Sectors involved
People & Culture
  • Attracts the best industry talent by fostering a work environment that is collaborative, values inclusion and diversity and invites broad, creative thinking - crafting a more attractive place to work, grow and thrive
  • Builds culture and connections across the Region to enable knowledge sharing, relationship building across all Sectors and Corporate Services

  • Responsible for the oversight, structure and accountability for Sub-Regional leaders as well as Office Leaders to create local engagement, part of a WSP culture that encompasses the province, country and global WSP presence, anchored on WSP's guiding principles

  • Utilizes our extended reach across Regions and the globe to foster new and innovative solutions

  • As part of the client program, ensures the Regional Clients are carefully managed
  • Leads the Local Market Engagement (LME) teams, through Sub-Regional leadership
  • Manages client coordination and cross-selling efforts across all Sectors in coordination with other Regions and Sectors

  • Leverages our broad technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings
  • Works very closely with the Sectors to ensure strategic technical expertise is available
