Our staff, many of whom have been with the firm for 10+ years, are experienced across real estate (selling, buying, mortgages, subdivisions), buying / selling businesses, general corporate & commercial law, wills & estates and litigation. Our solicitor’s department is in need of a full-time legal administrative assistant to join our fast-paced office. Anticipated job duties include:
  • Dealing with incorporations including pre and post incorporation documentation and extra-provincial registrations
  • Maintaining corporate records
  • Drafting various documents related to reorganizations, amalgamations, amendments, restorations, dissolutions, name changes and continuations
  • Preparation of shareholders agreements and partnership agreements
  • Preparing documents relating to business purchases including share purchase and asset purchase transactions
Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years to 10 years of relevant legal administrative assistant experience in a law office
  • Strong customer service skills to interact with clients and provide assistance
  • Team-oriented personality
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast and accurate typing skills to efficiently draft legal correspondence and documents
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle incoming / outgoing calls professionally
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
This position requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. Previous experience as a legal administrative assistant in corporate & commercial law is required. Salary range $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on experience.
