Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for direct sales management of assigned product categories for Midea appliances at National and Key Accounts. This person is a self-starter who is motivated to launch Midea appliances at retailers and assist Midea in its Canadian expansion. The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining existing accounts, developing new accounts, and acting as the lead with retail partners. The position reports to the Director of Sales for Midea Canada.

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key contacts at accounts building long term relationships.
  • Build and promote major appliances, home comfort, and small appliances including floor care with major retail accounts
  • Develop and implement long term sales strategy to grow sales and drive profitability. Must regularly meet with all stakeholders to identify long term and short-term needs and develop a plan to deliver key metrics. Must stay abreast of industry trends to understand account needs and positioning.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company team members, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales and strategic objectives. Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Extensive communication with key stakeholders and influencers at every level of the customer’s organization. Coordinate and deliver sales presentations effectively utilizing resources available. Promote, sell, and secure business for both existing and new products. Obtain feedback and use effectively with internal resources.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years Account Management & Retail Sales experience in major appliances, home comfort, or small appliances including floor care.
  • Development of account business plans to include: product offerings, forecasts, advertising/co-op, profitability, expenses and any specific distribution needs.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills, including forecasting and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal resources.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
