JOB SUMMARY: Lantic is currently recruiting for the contractual position of Quality-Assurance, construction and equipment Lead as part of the LEAP project, at our Montreal refinery. Reporting to the LEAP Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for quality management for the site and equipment manufacturers, ensuring that quality requirements are followed while ensuring continuous communication with the team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop the quality management plan for the site and for the manufacturers of equipment related to the project;
  • Implement the quality plan and procedures (tools, models, processes, policies);
  • Ensure that technical requirements and quality requirements are followed during the duration of the project by implementing quality assurance and quality monitoring;
  • Maintain continuous communication with the team responsible for the site, equipment manufacturers and contractors;
  • Analyze quality trends and reports;
  • Produce quality reports;
  • Carry out quality audits with the various managers;
  • Identify, initiate and follow-up on requests for corrective actions and notices of non-conformities on site and from manufacturers;
  • Work closely with the Document Controller to prepare documentation transfers to the team responsible of the site.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • College Diploma in electrical engineering, civil engineering or other related discipline
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the field of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) on construction projects (industrial, infrastructure or others)
  • Good knowledge of the quality management system and requirements (e.g. ISO 9001:2015)
  • Experience in construction management is an asset
  • Certification in quality management and/or quality audit is an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a team
