In this role, you will formulate and execute comprehensive quality management plans, collaborate with project supervisors, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. We seek an individual with a robust background in industrial environments and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality assurance for construction projects
  • Create and implement project-specific quality management plans, inspection protocols, and operational procedures
  • Collaborate closely with project supervisors, schedulers, and planners to ensure a thorough understanding of project scope and timelines
  • Deliver quality outcomes that align with project specifications and industry benchmarks
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Quality Management System, including work instructions and operational procedures
  • Ensure all work adheres to established technical standards as outlined in project documentation, including drawings and specifications
  • Align quality control objectives with construction practices to enhance product reliability while minimizing costs
  • Engage with supervisory staff, clients, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve issues related to work procedures and construction challenges
  • Generate quality performance reports and metrics
  • Analyze data and produce reports to identify deviations from established standards
  • Issue notifications of non-conformance and stop-work directives, collaborating with clients and quality teams to document incidents and recommend corrective measures
  • Review project logs, quality checklists, test reports, and specification documents to ensure compliance with contract requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction quality management within industrial sectors
  • Demonstrated experience as a QA/QC Inspector on large-scale projects
  • Proven track record of managing a team of quality inspectors
  • Strong commitment to ethical practices and integrity
  • A passion for safety, ensuring a secure work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently to achieve project goals
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to navigate all areas of a construction site in various environmental conditions
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs
  • Fluency in French is essential
  • Functional proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is advantageous, as mobility across regions may be necessary. Language training can be provided if needed.
