POSITION SUMMARY
The Development & Events Coordinator's primary responsibility is fundraising while creating program awareness throughout the community, helping reduce financial barriers for individuals entering our care. You are the supportive force behind the Development team; a proactive person who takes initiative, exuding patience, kindness, and compassion while motivating and inspiring those around you. You will assist, coordinate, and plan logistics for various events and fundraising initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and Coordinate Event Logistics
  • Ensure smooth operation of fundraising or donor cultivation events
  • Coordinate & plan logistics for approved events and donor engagement activities
  • Research event venues
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, ensuring contracts reflect event expectations
  • Monitor budgets and support revenue targets
  • Document and track event purchases, tickets, and participants
  • Maintain organized documents for each event
  • Coordinate guest lists, food services arrangements, and staffing
  • Obtain prize sponsors and manage corporate sponsors
  • Maintain corporate sponsorship tracking document
  • Develop event day-of programs in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Submit event details in time for collateral creation
  • Understand and adhere to marketing timelines
  • Ensure quality event photography is taken
  • Execute post-event follow up with donors
  • Support local outreach initiatives
  • Recruit and manage event committees and volunteers

  • Collaborate with the accounting department for payment processes
