Activate is a technology company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming experience. We are looking to expand our IT team with the addition of a Senior IT Support Analyst. The primary task is providing support for computer systems and software to improve efficiency in the organization. The Senior IT Support Analyst will be a key member of Activate’s growth by facilitating solutions for our customers and overseeing the general workflow of the computer systems to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

The Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Lead the procurement and configuration of new infrastructure.
  • Installation, configuration, documentation and maintenance of our Corporate Office IT infrastructure and networking infrastructure, including hardware, purchased software and custom software.
  • Assist in the server configuration process and the maintenance of our hardware and networking infrastructure in our gaming facilities.
  • Configuration and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist and consult on the definition, installation and maintenance of infrastructure monitoring and alerting software.
  • Installation and maintenance of security software and policies in our Corporate Office.
  • Support and troubleshoot all IT issues for employees.
  • Research software programs and participate in IT projects that impact the full organization (Intranet).
  • Manage access levels for our document management systems, camera systems and security access to the building.
  • Develop, test and maintain a Disaster Recovery strategy and implement associated requirements.
  • Recommend, implement and test security and quality controls tools.

Mentorship

  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to members of the team.
  • Work with the Director, IT to provide feedback and areas of improvement for the team.
  • In collaboration with other team members, help define and iteratively improve on software development standards and processes.

The Qualifications:

  • Certificate / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar role is required.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours if/when needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing software and hardware issues.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to provide support on-call when other members are unavailable.
