The Manager, Vendor Management role sits in IT and reports to the Vice President - Cloud Transformation & IT Services.


• Establish and continuously evolve the end-to-end contracting process and alignment

with stakeholders (primarily Finance, Legal & business strategy).

• Work with technology & Professional Services vendors on contracts, renewals,

negotiation, products / services evolution, roadmaps, performance reviews, pricing,

credits, licensing, compliance audits, T&Cs.

• Establish an overall vendor management and negotiation strategy and implement with

the top 5 contracts as a start.

• Complete a contract inventory and establish a vendor & contract 'book of record' that is

available for ready reference and use.

• Create an innovative, self-serve, reporting & analytics framework to drive improved cost

benefits for the organization.

• Align vendors, contracts, products, services, pricing across the family of companies.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, administration or related discipline.

• 5 or more years of experience within the vendor management function; impacts within

M&A scenarios; deep expertise with application of analytics to function, including

embedding reporting & analytics in the function.

• Strong organizational, process, and analytical skills; tech-savvy.

• Demonstrated strong negotiation skills specifically in the technology space.

• Ability to present a storyline & options to stakeholder among all levels including

Executives.

• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate

to all levels of internal and external customers.


WORK LOCATION

  • At present all staff work in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and can work remote the remainder of the week.
  • The successful candidate can be located in Toronto, Windsor, London, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Calgary or Vancouver.
