The Administrative Coordinator ensures efficient operations of the assigned Outpatient Clinic, providing administrative/clerical support to clinical staff and management. The Coordinator represents Providence Healthcare to its constituencies in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling inquiries and scheduling appointments for patients and clinicians
- Providing administrative support to clinical staff and management
- Representing Providence Healthcare to its constituencies
- Managing health information and data entry in an integral software system
Requirements:
- A Community College certificate or diploma in an Administrative or Secretarial field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of active working experience in an administrative or secretarial field in a healthcare setting
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Access, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health record systems, and the dictation process
- Ability to efficiently schedule appointments and prioritize tasks in a busy healthcare environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, and legible handwriting
- Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in the well-being of stakeholders
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and interdependently under pressure
- Ability to pay great attention to detail and accuracy in work completed
- Ability to interact with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Commitment to continuous self-reflection, evaluation, and role improvement
