Job Summary: Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technical Assistant to support the activities of the Diagnostic Imaging Department in a busy outpatient setting.

The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Assistant will work under the direction of the Team Lead, performing tasks related to the departmental operation in an organized and cost-effective manner. This includes assisting patients, patient transfers, and computer radiographic information data entry.

This is a long-assignment full-time position, requiring shift work, evenings, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, effective organization and communication skills, and experience in Diagnostic Imaging an asset.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $23.37 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

About the Role:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • One year knowledge of computer systems regarding entering, updating, and retrieving patient information
  • Able to set priorities
  • Experience in Diagnostic Imaging an asset
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 24 months
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
