Specialized Supplier, Credit Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Claims Specialist to join our Accounts Payable team at UAP Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting credits from suppliers, reconciling claims, and ensuring accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and verify supplier merchandise return claims (debit memos/RMFs) from stores
- Ensure all necessary documentation is in place for each claim
- Log claims in the master claim file and reconcile any discrepancies
- Communicate with suppliers to collect outstanding credits
- Perform monthly GP adjustments and resolve complex variances
- Assist in preparing for stores' inventory cut-offs, including collections blitz and ensuring all claims are accounted for
- AEC, DEP, or equivalent degree with 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume environment
- Bilingual written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
- Ability to solve problems within defined parameters
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and proficiency in computer systems
