About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of supplier accounts to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the efforts of communication with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure minimal ambiguity, smooth payment flow, and rapid resolution of bottlenecks encountered in the implementation of a fluid process.
  • Acquire expertise in the Procure to Pay system as well as in ERP processes and ensure that inherent controls for task separation in the Procure to Pay process are not compromised.
  • Treat supplier invoices based on purchase orders using triple matching with precision; ensure that examination and approval of invoices without purchase orders are sufficient.
  • Prepare and/or perform the main examination of supplier accounts and the related balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, compile and maintain adequate documentation.
  • Set and facilitate the achievement of service objectives. Supervise and assist in implementing training for new and existing credit account coordinators, instill best practices, direct and prepare presentation materials for internal team and external stakeholders' training sessions.
  • Aid in developing, maintaining, and communicating performance metrics for the supplier accounts function and assist in preparing quarterly evaluation reports describing the global performance of the function for senior management.
  • Capacity to document key processes and procedures for the Procure to Pay process, create process flowcharts, and create a mindset of process improvement throughout the group.
  • Assist the Director of Shared Services in developing and implementing procedural standards and best practices throughout the supplier accounts function and aid in analyzing relevant metrics to identify potential improvement and cost-saving projects.
  • Complete timely performance evaluations of personnel, providing both positive and constructive feedback to promote a learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in accounting or finance.
  • Be an autonomous and practical manager with a positive and dynamic attitude.
  • Expertise in supplier accounts processes for invoices, process analysis, documentation, improvement, and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills using ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven management skills.
