Role SummaryThe Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in developing and implementing data solutions tailored to project requirements. This position involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including technology and business teams, to capture and document requirements, test strategies, and execute testing to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional results by developing a deep understanding of business issues and data challenges.
- Ensure clear and complete requirements, eliminating uncertainties and ambiguities.
- Establish the quality of solutions through validation against requirements.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication with project team members to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery.
- Escalate issues promptly when required.
- Participate in project planning to establish workload expectations and schedules.
- Meet deadlines and strive to complete work in accordance with project plans.
- Drive requirements gathering and create detailed requirements documents.
- Provide ongoing updates and reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and execute test strategies and test cases.
- Own defect management and drive regression testing if required.
- 5-8 years of experience in technical projects, including 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst.
- Practical knowledge of SDLC methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience working with databases, data warehouses, analytics, and reporting.
- Experience in ETL, SQL, Teradata, or Oracle.
- General knowledge of analytics/business intelligence tools and cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated skills in documenting requirements and collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software or Computer Science/Engineering fields or related industry experience.
- Prior experience as a Data Analyst.
- Experience in Snowflake.
- Prior experience working with clients in the retail industry.
