Senior Business Analyst (Loan Origination)

The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving business success by providing strategic analysis services to our client's business partners. This position focuses on working closely with business units to gain a deep understanding of business strategy, processes, services, and roadmap. The Senior Business Analyst will be instrumental in understanding the capabilities needed to address business challenges, particularly in Mortgage Loans Originations processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and document business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological requirements and risks.
  • Document requirements, specifications, data mapping, business rules, and make recommendations to improve proposed solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management or technical teams.
  • Document workflows and perform process mapping, results of business analysis, and requirement gathering, obtain sign-off from business on the business requirement documentation.
  • Support user acceptance testing in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
  • Adhere to existing processes/standards, including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture, and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
  • Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager or Application manager.
  • Provide exceptional services to IT and business areas.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience as a business analyst.
  • 7+ years' experience in the financial industry.
  • Experience in Loan Origination (Mortgages – residential or commercial).
  • Experience with Agile methodology SCRUM.

This is a minimum 6-month contract located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe).
