Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Onico Solutions. The successful candidate will provide strategic business analysis services to business partners, working closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and document business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological requirements and risks.
  2. Document requirements, specifications, data mapping, business rules, and make recommendations to improve proposed solutions.
  3. Communicate effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management or technical teams.
  4. Document workflows and perform process mapping, results of business analysis, and requirement gathering, obtaining sign-off from business on the business requirement documentation.
  5. Support user acceptance testing in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
  6. Adhere to existing processes/standards, including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture, and escalate issues if necessary.
  7. Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
  8. Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project Manager or Application Manager.
  9. Provide exceptional services to IT and business areas.
Qualifications
  1. 6+ years' experience as a business systems analyst/business analyst.
  2. 4+ years' experience in the financial industry is required.
  3. 2+ years of experience with data workflows – data mapping, process mapping.
  4. Experience in Loan Origination for Mortgages.
  5. Certified Business Analyst Profession (CBAP).
  6. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  7. Time management, highly organized, work independently.
  8. Strategic/forward thinking.
  9. Negotiating, influencing.
  10. Interpersonal relationship building.
  11. Communication (verbal and written) – excellent.
  12. Conflict resolution.
  13. Multi-tasking in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

This is a minimum 8-month contract with a possible extension, work from home or hybrid (downtown Toronto).
