Job Title: Administrative Assistant II

Join the University Health Network (UHN) team as an Administrative Assistant II and play a vital role in supporting the Director and Lab Manager in the Princess Margaret Research Institute. This is a temporary full-time position for one year, with a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

The Administrative Assistant II will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director and Lab Manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, data entry, and payroll preparation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking staff vacation and sick time, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendars and schedules
  • Coordinate meetings, webinars, and teleconferences, including generating agendas and recording minutes
  • Assist with data entry and payroll preparation
  • Track staff vacation and sick time
  • Perform routine budgetary support functions, including expense reimbursement and credit card reconciliation
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and Lab Manager as required
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade XII (12) or recognized equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized medical or business post-secondary secretarial arts program at the diploma level (asset)
  • Two to three (2-3) years related administrative support experience
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office and database software
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment (asset)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
