Job Overview

Wawanesa Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the insurance industry, working closely with experienced adjusters and learning the latest techniques and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Investigate losses, determine liability, and negotiate settlements in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve claims handling and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Obtain a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) within 6 months of being hired.
  • Strong customer service skills, including empathy and concern for policyholders.
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes in a fair and professional manner.
