Client Relations and Patient Safety Coordinator

Seeking a Client Relations and Patient Safety Coordinator to support quality improvement and patient safety across the Winnipeg health region.
Reporting to the Manager, Client Relations and Engagement WRHA, the Client Relations (CR) and Patient Safety (PS) Coordinator supports quality improvement and patient safety across the Winnipeg health region. The primary functions of this role include:
- Intake, assessment, referral or resolution of requests from patients, clients, residents, families and the public;
- Intake, assignment, designation and entry of patient safety events;
- Correspondence with Manitoba Health and Seniors Care for completion of assigned processes;
- Entry and management of files in RL Solutions (Risk and Feedback).
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a health care setting/health information services and proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and other computer systems. An undergraduate degree or diploma in a health-related discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, as well as oral and written communication skills, judgment and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work independently and demonstrate the ability to put conceptual ideas into practice.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
