Job Title: Patient Relations Associate

WRHA Corporate is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Relations Associate to join our team. As a key member of our patient relations team, you will play a vital role in building trust and rapport with patients, care home residents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with patients, care home residents, and their families to ensure their concerns and complaints are heard and addressed.
  • Facilitate conflict management and complaint resolution for complex and sensitive situations.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and site/service stakeholders to respond to complaints and critical incidents.
  • Receive, acknowledge, and respond to patient concerns and complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with patient safety to provide consistent communication during critical incident reviews.
  • Triage requests, suggestions, concerns, and complaints following established processes and navigate resolutions to ensure all concerns are given impartial consideration.
  • Provide input and recommendations for quality improvements based on patient feedback.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience working directly with patients and families.
  • 3 years of experience applying quality, risk management, and patient safety principles and procedures.
  • 3 years of experience delivering services to culturally diverse individuals.
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Conflict Resolution and Mediation skills.
  • Experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities.
