Interior Health seeks a Technical Systems Analyst II to join the IMIT/Desktop Management Service team in Kelowna. This term position will last until March 31st 2025.

We are looking for a skilled professional to participate in the evaluation, planning, development, implementation, testing, maintenance and support of desktop, mobile, peripheral and hand-held computer systems throughout the Interior Health Authority.

The successful candidate will provide technical and consultative support and training to end-users and departmental staff within Interior Health. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and consultation, participating in the development, design, implementation and systems administration for Interior Health on desktop, mobile, peripheral and various hand-held computer systems.
  • Installing, configuring, modifying and testing desktop and mobile computing hardware and software.
  • Consulting with client departments and other IT personnel to evaluate desktop and mobile computing systems requirements.
  • Developing, testing and maintaining desktop and mobile computing systems from specifications and change requests.
  • Conducting and/or participating in the evaluation of new technologies, hardware, software and utilities.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining user and technical operating documentation, procedures and guidelines for desktop and mobile computing hardware and software.
  • Providing training to IT technical personnel and end-users.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12, graduation from a recognized two year computer systems technology diploma.
  • Three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.

  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
