About the Corporate Services Team

The Corporate Services (CS) team plays a critical role in supporting the entire organization. Comprised of various departments, CS is driven by customer-service and taking action to advise, consult and support each business area throughout the LDB.

About the Director, Sourcing & Vendor Performance (SVP)

The Director, Sourcing & Vendor Performance (SVP) leads the sourcing lifecycle procurement management program for the LDB and provides strategic advice to Executives and Senior Managers to facilitate continued business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing lifecycle procurement management program for the LDB
  • Provide strategic advice to Executives and Senior Managers
  • Identify, analyze and evaluate client business needs
  • Lead process engineering activities related to the contracting of all indirect goods and services
  • Apply expert knowledge in public procurement and contract best practices
  • Identify policy gaps and make recommendations for changes and improvement

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in business administration, commerce, public administration, finance, economics or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of recent, related work experience
  • Experience in sourcing, procurement and contract/vendor performance management in positions of progressive responsibility
  • Experience directly managing procurement professionals and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs and directing allocation of resources
  • Experience in public sector procurement
  • Experience with negotiating contracts, resolving contentious issues, providing options for client areas with competing demands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement and contract management in a retail or wholesale environment
  • Experience with IT, construction procurement and contract management
  • Experience with issues management at an executive level
  • Experience leading complex procurement projects/initiatives within the procurement team and drive results from the team
