You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.
You will be responsible for key client relationship management and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

You will provide expert technical advice and leadership support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.

Reporting to the East/West corridor delivery head, the corridor lead will lead a team on one, or more, rail corridors on the program, to ensure the best outcomes for the coordinated team.

You'll be responsible for:

Directs a multi-disciplinary team of engineering manager, project manager/s and deputy project manager/s, including other specialists as the rise occurs.
Drives safety leadership from a figurehead position.
Manages client, consultants, contractors, and own project staff.
Identifies and analyses business risks.
Sets up effective management/assurance systems and procedures.
Manages activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
Looks to create a vision and set strategy.
Creates high-performance teams and a common culture.
Has positive and proactive approach to engaging with the various Project Delivery Teams (PDT's).
Directs the development of plans to upskill the wider workforce, including the supply-chain, to ensure we leave a better trained workforce, linked to the utilisation of Humber College, George Brown College and Telfer Business School, and our academy of learning strategy.
Directs the team on the recommendation and initiates change to project delivery plans, identify areas of improvement to put forward to relevant area in business and operating processes.
Demonstrates core strategic and delivery capability for setting up an organisation structure and integration with the customer/client vision and objectives.
Interacts with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that objectives are being met.
Directs external relationships important for project delivery (e.g., statutory authorities).
Liaises with the PDTs from the various sectors, Stations, Early Works, Joint Corridor Early Works, USRC, Extensions, to ensure all works are aligned with the common-goal for the Rail Corridor and over-arching program.
Acts as lead for compliance with the program health, safety, quality and environment processes for projects, sponsor audit of Rail Corridor, and project documentation, activities, and processes.
Develops and delivers implementation plans, establishing commercially beneficial delivery models and leading on innovation and best practice.
Takes ownership to identify, solve and overcome challenges, whilst keeping other abreast of developments.
Delivers results, striving to exceeds the clients' expectations.
Demonstrates leadership and core competencies at a high level of development and is an exemplary model of living the corporate values and code of ethics.
Provides senior leadership and direction over an integrated team, oversight and indirect supervision of staff in a matrix environment; delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills; monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes; develops and implements action plans to address performance gaps.
Provides senior leadership in projects and construction delivery management to program management leads that are dedicated to each of the program delivery units.
Provides senior leadership and direction over the construction and project delivery team, delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills.
Leads by example with the purpose to inspire the team within the program team.
Monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes
Develops and implements action plans to address performance gaps.
Builds and leads high performing, multidisciplined teams.

You'll need to have:

Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the project and construction delivery management disciplines.
Membership with key industry professional/chartered institutions.
May represent MCS on professional institution/industry wide committees/boards etc.
Strong experience across all technical delivery requirements across program and project level set up and delivery requirements.
Detailed knowledge of key performance indicator monitoring and engagement, directly linked to monthly measurement criteria established.
Detailed knowledge of resource management, interface, and constraints management.
Strategic and detailed understanding of construction methodology, innovative methods of delivery, technology, planning, delivery, site logistics, commercial and legal/contract issues.
Detailed knowledge of contract and commercial procedures.
Experience persuading and influencing colleagues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, clear and concise; good presentation skills.
Stays up to date with key industry/professional trends through networking and Continued Professional Development (CPD) and updates colleagues and clients on industry trends.
Understanding of different types of contracts and ability to give advice to clients.
Knowledge of BIM and able to give advice to clients and articulate BIM strategy.
Understanding of data management.
Proficiency in office technology, software and applications.
Well-developed decision-making skills.
Ability to lead, engage, motivate and coach others. To act as a role model and inspire and empower others. Competent to mentor and coach at levels within the Projects and Construction Delivery Team
Looking to the future to create and articulate a delivery vision and common culture.
Experience delegating tasks to others.
Ability to create the environment for successful implementation of processes.
Ability to create and deliver persuasive and engaging presentations to wide range of audiences in our industry.
