Sanitation/Warewash Attendant sought to perform general cleaning, operate pot washing machine, and perform cleaning and waste disposal tasks in a hospital kitchen environment.

Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Food Services Supervisor or Area Manager, the Sanitation/Warewash Attendant is responsible for:

  • Performing general cleaning in the Main Kitchen
  • Operating pot washing machine
  • Performing a variety of cleaning tasks and waste disposal tasks
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 education
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated good personal cleanliness
  • Manual skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move heavy objects
  • Ability to withstand heat and steam
  • Ability to walk/stand throughout the shift
