**Job Summary**
The Sanitation Attendant is a vital member of the St. Boniface Hospital team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the Main Kitchen. Under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor or Area Manager, this role involves operating the pot washing machine, performing various cleaning tasks, and disposing of waste in a responsible manner.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate the pot washing machine to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment
- Perform general cleaning duties in the Main Kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Dispose of waste in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner
- Assist with other cleaning tasks as assigned by the Food Services Supervisor or Area Manager
**Requirements**
- Grade 10 education
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Good personal cleanliness and hygiene
- Manual skills and ability to lift heavy objects
**Working Conditions**
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with heat and steam
- Ability to walk/stand throughout the shift
