Job Title: Diabetes Account Manager

As a Diabetes Account Manager at Abbott, you will play a critical role in driving awareness and adoption of life-changing products that improve people's health. You will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with key healthcare providers, identifying opportunities and barriers to engagement, and building engagement plans that enhance recommendations of the Freestyle Libre portfolio and utilization of the Abbott digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business plans that include goals, action plans, time frames, and resources to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Map national/provincial account influencers and coordinate alignment of tactical execution across accounts to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Understand and analyze market dynamics within the diabetes healthcare ecosystem to generate deep insights on future trends that impact the brand and market.
  • Map the diabetes patient journey and pathways in key accounts within your assigned territory to deepen understanding, identify unmet needs, and improve the patient experience.
  • Deliver objectives per assigned goals by informing and influencing behavior of prescribers to drive adoption of life-changing products.
  • Position products and services using appropriate resources and by being a subject matter expert on diabetes management.
  • Act with a sense of purpose and urgency, engaging in a professional and respectful manner to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Convey information clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  • Regularly track and report progress against plan, redirect efforts as necessary to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
  • Document daily, weekly, and monthly activities utilizing a call reporting/tracking system to ensure accurate tracking of progress.
  • Maintain accountabilities for all samples and company resources in accordance with Division guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Work within quality guidelines established for compliance to ensure delivery of high-quality products and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years previous sales experience within the healthcare industry with a successful sales track record. Previous sales experience in the diabetes category preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity, and ambition to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
