Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition between the construction phase and operations phase of a P3 project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition Management: Act as a liaison between the construction phase and operations phase of a P3 project, ensuring a seamless transition of responsibilities.
  • Document Management: Prepare contractually required document schedules, manage deadlines, and lead collaborative meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Site Visits and Collaboration: Conduct site visits and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedure documentation for various projects and site-specific assets.
  • Review and Approval: Review shop drawings and sub-contractor submittals, and maintain document revision history to ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Meet with key stakeholders in P3 projects to develop high-level relationships and develop trust in the project.
  • Project Management: Project manage P3 projects, create collaborative meeting schedules, and lead discussions with key stakeholders to ensure priority topics are discussed.
  • Legislative Compliance: Review legislative requirements to conduct a task analysis and ensure compliance.
  • Minute Taking and Action Items: Attend confidential meetings to take minutes and manage lists of action items.
  • Documentation and Communication: Prepare and review impact notices, distribute to clients and internal EDFS staff within prescribed timelines, and represent EDFS in Renovation Works meetings, presentations, and client demos.
  • GT Latent Defects: Oversight and management of GT Latent Defects, including subcontractor coordination.
  • Interface Agreement Notices: Prepare and deliver Interface Agreement Notices as required, including Latent Defects in the GT.

Requirements

  • P3 Projects and Building Assets: A knowledge of P3 projects and building assets is a must.
  • Education and Experience: An Engineering degree or diploma and/or 1-3 years of administrative or construction experience.
  • Document Management Software: Experience with document management software and best practices, e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, Google Drive, Microsoft Office.
  • Construction Knowledge: A working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, and building materials.
  • Organization and Analytical Skills: The ability to develop organization systems to support project success, simplify complex information, and identify audience and write accordingly.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: High accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Meeting Deadlines and Objectives: Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and project objectives.
