Aramark Canada is seeking a Facilities Support Operations Manager with a solid background in Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance Services to oversee operations in a Healthcare Facility.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Facilities Support Operations Manager will be accountable for the food and facilities contract at the location, ensuring financial integrity and adherence to the standards set by Aramark, regulatory bodies, and the client. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities- Develops and sustains effective collaborative relationships with various departments to deliver a cohesive food service experience for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Ensures adherence to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety protocols.
- Engages with Client Management to maintain strong client and customer relations across all levels of the organization, including conducting regular assessments and identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
- Provides leadership and manages performance for all Supervisors and frontline staff, fostering employee development, engagement, and compliance with HR policies and standards.
- Oversees staffing, training, and guidance for the food service department regarding food presentation, quality assurance, cost management, and cash handling procedures.
- Develops operational forecasts and is responsible for explaining any variances. Manages the accounting functions related to the operational components.
- Responsible for procurement, inventory management, menu planning, and production scheduling.
- Maintains and verifies employee work schedules using web-based payroll systems.
- Assists the Food Service Supervisor with procurement, inventory management, menu planning, and production scheduling.
- Monitors and verifies accounting documentation through digital systems.
- Adheres to union seniority and scheduling policies.
- Follows financial projections closely.
- Cultivates and maintains a strong leadership team.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Membership in CSNM is mandatory.
- Basic experience in housekeeping or comprehensive EVS experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in menu management, budget balancing, and operating within assigned financial parameters.
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in managing operations with financial and operational accountability for sites or departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, customers, and support staff.
- Experience with P&L accountability and/or contract-managed services is preferred.
- Requires strong management and leadership capabilities, along with the ability to handle confidential employee, client, and company information.
- Completion of a mandatory background check is required for all qualified candidates.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
