Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the business by accurately recording daily sales transactions for all offices within the Group of Practices.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual to provide support and assistance with monthly bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and maintaining organized financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter daily sales transactions into accounting software
  • Process semimonthly payroll
  • Assist with accounts payable
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all relevant documents
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Experience in running SAGE50, Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce preferred
  • 2 years of bookkeeping or payroll experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills

Work Environment:

Position is based in Campbell River with some ability to work remotely once training is completed.

In-office work required from time to time.
