Senior Claims Specialist, Liability

Join a dynamic and collaborative team at Zurich Canada, a leading global insurance provider, as a Senior Claims Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to work with inspiring teammates and leaders, driving excellence in claims management and delivering pragmatic and efficient solutions for large corporations, multinationals, and international insureds.
Key Responsibilities- Complete thorough reviews and assessments of liability and coverage applicable to each loss
- Investigate and litigate claims, negotiating settlements and managing litigation components
- Set and review reserves, controlling expenses and the claims life cycle
- Develop case strategies, evaluate claims, and escalate issues as necessary
- Establish timely reserves, estimating and validating claim values
- Assess damages, calculating applicable damages or ranges allowed by law
- Negotiate claim settlements, utilizing negotiation strategies and available tools
- Ensure exceptional customer service, communicating proactively and responding to inquiries
- Manage expenses, working within approved vendor networks and managing scope of work
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Quebec Claims Adjuster license (Commercial lines)
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Business writing and presentation skills in both French and English
- Proficiency with Office 365 productivity tools and apps
