Liability Claim Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liability Claim Specialist to join our team at Travelers. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex liability claims in accordance with our company's best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Investigation and Evaluation: Conduct thorough investigations of liability claims, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the extent of liability and damages.
- Claim Resolution: Negotiate and resolve claims with insureds and claimants, or their legal representatives, to achieve fair and timely settlements.
- Litigation Management: Manage litigated claims, developing litigation plans and working with counsel to ensure effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to insureds and claimants, ensuring timely and effective communication throughout the claims process.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, risk managers, and other claims professionals, to ensure seamless claim handling and effective resolution.
- Education and Experience: University/College degree or equivalent in business or a related field, with advanced level knowledge and skill in claim and litigation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, and effective claims handling practices.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate complex data and information to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
