Senior Technical/design Manager

Senior Technical/Design Manager role seeks a transportation engineering expert to lead a team in designing and constructing large-scale transit/rail projects, with a focus on innovative planning and safety.

The GTA-based team is seeking a Senior Technical/Design Manager to lead a team of professionals in the design and construction of large-scale transit/rail projects. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in engineering, technical advisory, or construction management, with a strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects as a Technical Manager, Technical Advisor/Owner's Representative, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule are met.
- Lead the Design Team, comprising Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants.
- Create innovative ideas and approaches to improve business processes.
- Promote and oversee safety programs and culture.
- Develop, track, and update project schedules and budgets.
- Lead safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews, and inspections.
- Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the multi-disciplined design office.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- A strong work ethic and desire to excel.
- Willingness to learn and motivated team player.
Education and Experience:
- 15 years of experience in engineering, technical advisory, or construction management.
- Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional Designation is an asset.
