Job Title: Senior Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join our Critical Infrastructure team. As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for preparing complex drainage and stormwater management layouts and design drawings using theoretical and practical design knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Perform basic geometrics design of road and highway systems, including grading and drainage.
  • Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
  • Meet stormwater management and drainage layout requirements and develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.
  • Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
  • Check orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
  • Perform checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Assist in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 8+ years of relevant experience.
