We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Design Manager to lead our transportation engineering team in the design and construction of large-scale projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects as a Technical Manager, Technical Advisor/Owner's Representative, ensuring the approved scope, budget, and schedule are met.
- Lead the Design Team consisting of Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants.
- Create innovative ideas and approaches to re-evaluate and improve our business.
- Promote and oversee our safety program and overall safety culture.
- Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.
- Develop, track, update, forecast, and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project.
- Leadership and oversight of our safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews, and inspections.
- Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts of all parties to the project.
- Evaluate, advise on, and assist in resolving disputes and claims.
- Regular collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplined design office.
- 15 years of experience in Engineering, Technical Advisory Related Work, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree.
- Civil Engineering Technology diploma or university degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario PEO or with The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians.
- Project Management Professional Designation PMP is an asset.
