Clinician sought to provide linkage between Community, Mental Health & Substance Use and Ministry of Social Development services, assessing referral needs, formulating treatment plans, and providing case consultation and follow-up support.

Job Description The salary range for this position is CAD $52.81/hour.

Join our team as a Clinician for the MSD/Community Mental Health & Substance Use Liaison Program. We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in mental health and substance use services.

Key Responsibilities • Functions as a primary therapist and case manager, providing diagnostic client assessment and short-term individual therapy • Manages cases and formulates treatment plans in conjunction with MSD and Mental Health and Substance Use Services staff • Facilitates clients' utilization of community services and rehabilitative programs • Maintains client records and statistics, prepares reports, and completes forms as required • Advocates on behalf of clients, providing information about appeal processes and assisting clients to complete forms • Provides education to clients and staff regarding community mental health and substance use programs and issues • Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities for assigned area Qualifications • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling or other relevant health-related discipline • Two years' recent, related experience in a community or hospital psychiatric setting, or in a rapid response crisis stabilization function, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Eligible for registration with appropriate professional association • Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to own vehicle with appropriate business coverage Skills and Abilities • Demonstrated counseling, client assessment, and case management skills • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and concurrent disorders • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of alcohol and drug misuse • Comprehensive knowledge of emergency triage procedures, mental health status assessment, and counselling principles and interview techniques • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to get along well with clients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team About Fraser Health Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
