Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is a key member of our team at Canucks Bar and Grill, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, setting the tone for their visit and ensuring they feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Greeting and Seating: Greet guests promptly and warmly, welcoming them to Canucks Bar and Grill and ensuring they are seated in a timely manner.
  • Table Management: Maintain accurate records of table reservations and seating times, ensuring that guests are seated in a way that maximizes table turnover and minimizes wait times.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Assist with the delivery and servicing of food and beverages, ensuring that guests receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Cash Handling and Point of Sale: Process guest payments and operate the point of sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure that guests receive exceptional service and that the dining experience meets our high standards.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, including covering other team members' responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
