Service Shift Manager - Swift Current

Pattison Agriculture Limited is seeking a highly skilled Service Shift Manager to join our team in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our dealership, you will play a vital role in managing the Service Department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign and schedule service jobs for employees based on their skills and knowledge, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Service Business Manager to develop and implement new hire orientation programs, mentorship initiatives, and training opportunities.
  • Optimize shop efficiency and workflow to minimize lost billable hours and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, technicians, and other stakeholders regarding repair status, issues, and concerns.
  • Work closely with the manager to identify and implement continuous process improvements, training opportunities, and provide backup support during peak seasons.
  • Direct and assist technicians and apprentices in diagnosing and troubleshooting machine problems.
  • Perform final checks and approvals on equipment before starting work orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining strong relationships and responding to customer inquiries and needs.
  • Assist the Service Advisor in providing quotes for repairs and maintaining accurate records of work orders.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, fostering a strong team dynamic and promoting open communication.
  • Conduct safety meetings and encourage safe working habits among team members.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly and 40-75 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 5+ years of experience in complex service repairs and maintenance.
  • Ag Equipment Tech (JDTECH) Journeyperson Certification or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of ag/turf equipment.
  • Proficiency in current business systems and computer functions.
