About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Channel Sales Manager to lead our marketing initiatives and sales activities for the nVent Electrical & Fastening Solutions (EFS) suite of product lines across Canada to our channel partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Marketing Initiatives: Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase attention and drive collaborative growth for our brands, including CADDY, ERICO, ILSCO, GARDNER BENDER, SPERRY INSTRUMENTS, BERGEN, BRISCON, SSI, CALTREM, and ERILFEX.
  • Sales Leadership: Actively lead sales agents and territory sales activity to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  • Distributor Relationships: Lead distributor relationships and performance, taking appropriate action to improve our distributor channels, including growing sales through adding distribution, conducting quarterly distribution assessments, and further penetration of existing channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations, and finance) to develop and implement customer-first programs and marketing plans.
  • Market Intelligence: Participate in conferences, expos, lunch-and-learns, and other industry events to gather competitive feedback and market dynamics, and communicate these insights internally to help further improve solutions and strategies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, 7+ years in sales or business development selling into the electrical market, preferably maintaining relationships and negotiations at a senior level at distributors.
  • Leadership Experience: Ideally 3+ years of experience leading manufacturing reps/agents.
  • Remote Work: Ability to work 100% remotely from a home office in Canada and travel 50% on average within the sales region.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably.
