Maintenance Technician - Part-time About the Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our property, including the grounds. This part-time position requires a flexible schedule, with a commitment to working both weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the property, including the grounds, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, checking and maintaining mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform repairs as needed.
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of all mechanical, HVAC, and sprinkler systems.
  • Supervise service providers and contractors to ensure quality work is performed.
  • Meet and interact with residents in a customer-friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure resident issues and service requests are addressed within 24 hours.
  • Participate in fire safety and life safety standards, including regular fire drills and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized property, including exterior and interior duties such as snow removal, garbage and recycling, and general maintenance of common areas.
Requirements
  • Background in residential property management or related business experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent management skills to coach, train, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated cleaning skills and ability to lift and push heavy objects.
